| External heat transfer measurements on a highly loaded turbine blade cascade are presented. The experiments are conducted at several free-stream turbulence levels (Tu1 = 1.4 % to 10.1 %) and Reynolds numbers, hereby quantifying the combined effect on heat transfer and laminar-turbulent transition. The results presented show a considerable influence of the turbulence level on stagnation point heat transfer, the onset of transition and boundary layer separation on both pressure and suction side. |
